SOUTH WALES COMMUNITY RADIO DOCUMENTARY MARKS 25th ANNIVERSARY OF MINERS STRIKE.

Community radio volunteers in the Rhondda and Cynon Valleys in South Wales have been involved in making a documentary recalling their memories of the 1984 miners strike. The work marks the culmination of 6 months of work by volunteers and project staff of the RCT Community Radio Project  who have been involved in research, interviewing  and putting the programme together

The documentary was launched at the Lewis Merthyr Celebration Day on Sunday 21st June 2009 at the Rhondda Heritage Park. It is intended that the documentary will be broadcast on community radio stations in the UK and Ireland as well as on the RCT Radio stations, Rhys Radio, Rhondda Radio and Dapper FM when they next broadcast on air.
